Oregon Inlet : New Maps

Trying to make some new maps to help people find there way around to wade. Throw me some feed back if you like the color or would prefer a topo. Im just playing around with a new program I got that will plug into GPS. Im going to try to make some shots from the air and make them better but for now Im just playing around with it.

This is the south end of the oregon inlet/bridge.

1. I call this the flat. I have heard it called the old ferry docks. Use caution here and feel where you step there are sucker holes as it changes all the time.

2. The Jetty. You can climb down off the rocks and wade from the sand. Use caution here as the current can get wicked here. I usualy dont get in past my knees.

3. Green Island slough. Use caution as it drops off right off the bank. Most places you have to stay on the bank. During tide change there is lots of current.

A good thing to do if you have never fished these places is scout it out on a low tide and you can see alot to keep you safe.

Bird in a tree said that they are starting to show in downtown Richmond as we speak. Some stripers are trickling in as well.

They might be showing up here in Richmond right now. I can neither confirm nor deny that they have been seen on fish finders as late as this afternoon and a few have been caught
